How to create a sharable link for your survey
SmartFeedback makes it easy to share your surveys with your audience by providing a sharable link. This link can be distributed through various channels, such as email, social media, sms, messaging apps or embedded on your website. Follow these simple steps to create a sharable link for your survey:
Step 1. Choose a survey to share
- Click the SmartSurvey button in the sidebar menu
- Select the survey you want to share with your audience
Step 2: Share a survey via direct link
Every survey in SmartFeedback comes with a default shareable link that you can use immediately. Simply click the Copy URL button, and the link will be copied to your clipboard, ready for you to share it through your preferred channels.
If you'd like to customize the link and add additional metadata, follow these steps:
-
Click the Create a URL button.
-
In the pop-up window, give your link share a name. This name will help you easily identify and distinguish this link share from others in your dashboard.
-
Customize the following metadata for your link:
- Page OG Title: This title will be displayed when the link is shared on social media platforms or messaging apps.
- Page OG Description: Provide a brief description of your survey, which will be displayed along with the title.
- Page OG Image: Upload an image that will be displayed as a preview when the link is shared on social media platforms or messaging apps.
-
Click the Save button to save your customized link share.
💡 Once you have created the sharable link, you can distribute it through various channels, such as:
- Email: copy and paste the link into an email and send it to your mailing list or individual recipients.
- Social media: share the link on your social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Instagram, to reach your existing followers and potential new audiences. You can include a call-to-action encouraging them to participate in your survey.
- Messaging apps: share your link through popular messaging apps, such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, Facebook Messenger, Discord, or WhatsApp, to reach your audience instantly. This is particularly useful for internal surveys or engaging with specific groups or communities.
- SMS: send the link directly via text message for quick access. This method is ideal for reaching mobile users or those who prefer a more direct approach.
- Website: embed the link on your website, blog, or any other online platform you own. This allows visitors to your site to easily discover and participate in your survey.
- QR code: generate a QR code from the link and display it in physical locations, such as retail stores, events, or printed materials. Customers or attendees can simply scan the QR code with their mobile devices to access your survey.
By leveraging these various channels, you can maximize the reach and accessibility of your survey, ensuring that it is visible and convenient for your target audience to participate, regardless of their preferred communication method or platform.
