How to create a QR code for your survey

QR codes are a convenient and modern way to share your surveys, making it easy for your audience to access and complete them with just a quick scan of their mobile devices. SmartFeedback allows you to generate customized QR codes for your surveys, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing experience.

Follow these simple steps to create a QR code for your survey:

Step 1. Choose a survey to share

  • Click the SmartSurvey button in the sidebar menu of your SmartFeedback dashboard.
  • Select the survey you want to share via a QR code.

Step 2. Create a QR code

In the "Create new share" section, click the QR code button.
First, in the pop-up window, give your QR code share a name. This name will help you easily identify and distinguish this share from others in your SmartFeedback dashboard.

SmartFeedback offers several customization options to make your QR code stand out and align with your brand's visual identity:

  • Shape style: choose from various shape styles, such as square, rounded, or circular, to match your brand's aesthetics.
  • Corner style: select the desired corner style for your QR code, ranging from sharp corners to rounded edges.
  • Upload a picture: switch the toggle to upload a picture or logo that will be displayed inside the QR code, adding a personal touch to your survey.

Step 3. Download and save your QR code

  • Click the Download as PNG button to download your customized QR code as a PNG image file.
  • Click the Save button to save your QR code share configuration.

Best practices for QR code surveys

  • Test and validate: before distributing your QR code, test it thoroughly to ensure it scans correctly and leads to your intended survey.
  • Prominent placement: display your QR code prominently in physical locations, such as retail stores, events, or printed materials, to ensure maximum visibility and accessibility for your audience.
  • Clear instructions: provide clear instructions or a call-to-action near the QR code, encouraging users to scan it with their mobile devices to access your survey.
  • Combine with other channels: while QR codes are convenient, consider combining them with other survey distribution channels, such as email, social media, or SMS, to reach a broader audience.

By leveraging QR codes, you can offer a modern and user-friendly way for your audience to participate in your surveys, especially in physical environments or when quick access is essential.

💡 Tip: Consider incorporating your QR code into your marketing materials, product packaging, or even digital displays to maximize exposure and encourage more survey responses.
