How to create an email share for your survey

SmartFeedback allows you to seamlessly add surveys directly into your email communications. By embedding surveys in your emails, you can increase response rates and make it more convenient for recipients to provide feedback.

Follow these simple steps to create an email share for your survey:

Step 1. Choose a survey to share

  • Click the SmartSurvey button in the sidebar menu
  • Select the survey you want to share via email

Step 2. Create an email share

In the Create new share section, click the Email embedded button.

First, in the pop-up window, give your email share a name. This name will help you easily identify and distinguish this email share from others in your dashboard.

You have two options for adding the survey to your email:

  • Quick copy: click the Copy button to copy the simplified embed code to your clipboard. This code can be pasted directly into your email.

  • Full HTML code: click the Show all HTML code button to view the complete HTML snippet. Copy the full HTML code if you need more control over the survey's appearance in your email.

Finally, save your email share by clicking the Save button.

  • Test before sending: always send a test email to yourself first to ensure the survey appears and functions correctly.
  • Keep it simple: email surveys work best when they're short and focused.
  • Clear call-to-action: make sure the survey link or embedded survey is clearly visible in your email
