Email signature surveys

How to add a survey to your email signature

An effective way to collect feedback from your email recipients is by adding a survey link or embed code directly to your email signature. SmartFeedback makes it easy to create embed code specifically for your email signature, ensuring a seamless experience for your recipients.

Follow these simple steps to add a survey to your email signature:

Step 1. Choose a survey to share

  • Click the SmartSurvey button in the sidebar menu of your SmartFeedback dashboard.
  • Select the survey you want to include in your email signature.

Step 2. Create an email signature share

In the Create new share section, click the Email embedded button.

First, in the pop-up window, give your email share a name. This name will help you easily identify and distinguish this email share from others in your dashboard.

You have two options for adding the survey to your email signature:

  • Quick copy: click the Copy button to copy the simplified embed code to your clipboard. This code can be pasted directly into your email signature.

  • Full HTML code: click the Show all HTML code button to view the complete HTML snippet. Copy the full HTML code if you need more control over the survey's appearance in your email signature.

Finally, save your email share by clicking the Save button.

Best practices for email signature surveys

  • Keep it concise: email signatures should be brief and uncluttered.
  • Clear call-to-action: Include a clear call-to-action encouraging recipients to complete the survey.

By adding a survey to your email signature, you can effortlessly collect feedback from your email recipients without disrupting their regular communication flow.

💡 Tip: Combine your email signature surveys with other feedback collection channels, such as SMS or social media, to gather a comprehensive view of your customers' experiences.
